The easy solution is a foam pop filter on the mic. These behringers come very close in both build and sound at a fraction of the cost. The handling noise. The only minus I noticed is the fact that the microphone does not fit in the holder provided by the manufacturer or I am too weak :).

Updated Review:Since I wrote my first review I've been listening to a lot more dynamic mics on reference headphones (so the flaws have nowhere to hide). Yes the Shure SM58 is a bit better, but not 5x better! . only downside is no on/off switch, but at least that's one less thing to go wrong.

I am very happy with this purchase. However, with the money saved you can buy a decent mic stand and think about whether you want a mixer, or audio interface for feeding the sound into your computer. And the price is just too good to not buy this. Seen here by its case with a windscreen stretched over it.

My B+ 85% rating was partly my amazement you could get a half decent mic at this price point! a budget microphone gem! This is a classic example of diminishing returns.

* Much like the SM58 it doesn't handle plosive sounds ("p" and "b") very well. Comes in a tidy hard plastic carry case with microphone stand clip which includes the 3/8 adapter. Connects easily. Probably in an onstage performance situation then yes it would need to be close to the singer or performer.

Considering buying more for use with my podcast. They are not the best in the world by any means, but they do sound good and are well built; they don’t require phantom power as they’re dynamic and for the price, they are fantastic value for money.
