Received in good condition but its not working. The cable works automatically once plugged in, and on a busy shoot that saves me a bit of faffing. The remote is well packaged and protected, as you would always expect from Nikon genuine products. It's something that most photographers should carry in their kit bag, as you never know when you need it.

For those with a compatible DSLR camera, this is a simple yet useful device to have. I doubt it would take too much abuse, but it will certainly last you a long time if you look after it. 2) There are a few options, the ones you want are the last 2, you can either choose a 2 second delay or real time shutter release. I also own a shutter release cable, and I will go for the cable 99% of the time as you can set focus lock with it, use bulb mode and lock it on without having to hold it on and it always works.

Its pretty robust so I don't worry about it at all. I would recommend this to anyone, its great quality, and a reasonable price. Not a new product box has definitely been around for a whileBought for a presentBut box will make it look like I’ve bought it second hand The reason I say I go for the cable 99% of the time, Is because I do a lot of long exposure photography and the cable is better for that, and also you just plug it in, rather than having to go through the settings each time you change shooting mode to select the remote as the shooting option.

The only negative I have is the price - for what it is, I would expect to pay no more than $15. The remote is very useful for product photography, indoor shots, and shoots when the length of the shutter release cable becomes an issue.

It's literally a bit of plastic with a button on it and it just works. This is much farther than the manufacturers claim so I was impressed with that. the packaging it comes in is adequate to keep it in if you wish, although personally I prefer to just shove into the little fabric holder and then into a quick access pocket in my camera bag.

SC

You get much more range with the remote. One criticism would be it seems a tad expensive for a simple bit of plastic but it does come with a cute little case which is very handy.
