I have NEVER sewed before and now, within 2 weeks and at the ripe old age of 60+, I have sewn an apron, 4 summer tops 3 bags (lined), a pair of shorts and a pair of slacks (did not do very well with zips, but, with the zip foot provided, I am confident that I will soon improve). I am now eying up the Brother overlocker . Spent the next 20 mins looking for things that 'needed' sewing (couldn't find but decided some NEED reinforcement :D)Best fun I had in years !

In the past 5 years with this machine I’ve made shirts, trousers, added pockets to things, made 200m of double sided bunting for a wedding, and most recently made a full corseted ball gown and hoop skirt with petticoats. So I bought this machine in early 2015, and have been using it ever since. What you really need it is your desire.

I bought this 8 years ago when I was novice at sewing and immediately fell in love with it and having become fairly advanced in my sewing I still find it quite a reliable machine to have in my studio. A yoga bag and some Christmas decorations. That is, fear of the time I'll need to spend learning. I can't sew for toffee but decided to buy a sewing machine when it took the mother in law ten years to take our curtains up.
