The author takes you through the birthplace of Dilla, Detroit, the life of his parents and in time you will see why it makes sense. From stories on how Dilla made some of his famous songs, to his relationships and his death, the book has made me appreciate Dilla even more. This is hands down one of the best books I have read in my life.
I thought I knew everything to know about J Dilla but boy was I wrong. Don’t delay in getting this book! I’m someone that loves detail and boy was this detailed.
I have seen a review that found the beginning boring but that is far from the truth.
