The lens is wonderful for wide angle- nature and all outdoor photos. Prefer the MF mode (manual focus) if like me you film landscapes or still scenes (see my YouTube channel “Chartreuse Nature”). In 4K, image quality, sharpness and contrast join the manual version of the 12mm Samyang which is already very qualitative, for a cheap price. The pattern drawn by the wind on the ears of wheat will force the lens to refocus very regularly, with the effect of spoiling the entire video.

Example: I'm filming a wheat field swept by the wind. Even if the Focus Peaking of the camera helps a lot, I like to be able to focus quickly and then not touch anything. The media could not be loaded.

I have not tried astrophotography with it yet. That is to say, it constantly refocuses, even if nothing changes in the frame. Attention, in AF-A (automatic) and AF-C (continuous autofocus) autofocus mode, the lens “pumps” into the vacuum. I bought this ultra wide angle to film with a Sony A6300 camera.

With the focus retouching set on the AF/MF selector, the MF mode is powerful enough to allow for good responsiveness (by choosing a focus mode adapted to the scene, of course).
