The 25 Year Old is complex yet refined with aromas of marmalade, honey and finish of dark chocolate and mocha. Aged using Spanish Oloroso Sherry oak casks as well as plain oak casks, creating the finest quality Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky in the traditional Speyside way. Scotland 700ml The long-lasting, sweet and smoky finish makes this single malt whisky a well-rounded choice. There is some dry nuttiness that develops quickly unlocking a little subtle spicey and extremely light smokey sensation. Wow. Just invites another sip, this is spectacular. Taste - unbelievably light texture - less butter, more olive oil.
The complexity is lovely. Nose - sherry, lots of sherry, sweet creamy and rich. Mouth coating and sweet, with some cinnamon tingliness.
This is special. The Glenfarclas 15 is a hell of a whiskey. The taste hits with loads of sherry with a sweet citrus note too.
There is an interesting raisin cakey-ness to this too, with some herbiness in there as well. Finish - though it's long, it is super light.
