I didn't really care for Top Gun until I saw Maverick and rewatched the old movie because of it. I saw the 4K version first and can't really see any difference now when looking at the standard Blu-ray.
TG:Maverick is a nice nostalgia trip full of emotion and of course full of awesome footage in sky. Altogether a very nice double pack.
The new movies is less packed but decent in terms of extras. The BD is great quality.
The special features are very long for the original movie, I love the commentaries from Tony Scott.
