The book is a softcover and and the outside and the pages are really sturdy. It is not alphabetical by country names, nor by age of the current flag version, nor by latitude or longitude of the country, nor by size of the country.

The author decided to order the flags by continents, which is fine. Very well organised, has all countries in respective continents. The appendix is a nice addition. The order of the continents themselves is arbitrary, but this is irrelevant in my opinion.

I don't see the pattern, which is crazy. To give an example, the order in Europe goes: Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, UK, France, Luxembourg, Monaco, Andorra, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Malta, Vatican City, San Marino, Switzerland,.

The page dimensions and flag depictions are appropriately big and clearly presented. This book has a lot to offer. However, I agree with other reviews that the structure is horrible. This is supposed to be a pocket guide after all.
I think my package was thrown! Instead, it is absolutely necessary to consult the index everytime to find a specific flag, because the order makes absolutely no sense.
Why did the author not decide on any order apart from the continent groups? All good so far. Amazing book.
