The Skylight may be part of the Quick Reads campaign, it may be only 89 pages of fairly large text, but it is a fully formed story that really packs a punch. I really thought I knew the plot was going with this one, but Candlish still managed to surprise me!

It’s difficult to tell if she is insane, deluded or just malicious but you can feel the tension from her from the very first page. THE SKYLIGHTBy Louise Candlish⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simone lives in a two storey flat with Jake, and all is well until Gus and Alina move into the ground floor unit. I was hooked from page one and didn’t put this down until the final page was turned.
