I suspect there's warehouse theft ongoing with items like these. Overall, a great drive so far.

so all good. This drive is (apparently) the fastest on the market, and it doesn't disappoint.

330GB, as seen in the image attached. Great drive but if you can afford the firecuda over this then I would get the segate over the WD any day, more of a personal preference in terms of quality for me.

Nice and easy to install- Ensure you buy a seperate compatible heatsink, this involves adding thermal paste strips on either side of this drive, and encasing within the heatsink. Highly recommended ( and the only reason it looses are star on installation is the tiny screw you need to mount the card )

Either nvme is a great choice, if you're using this for a boot drive on a PC then get the segate, if it's for a ps5 then I'd lean towards the WD purely for cost to performance ratio. Installation was smooth, even though I initially feared that I’d break the PS5’s cover trying to remove it it comes off relatively easily. I chose the 2TB option to be safe and it’s absolutely worth every penny. Decided to pick up the 2TB SSD with heatsink as it was half price and I desperately needed to expand the minuscule 667GB of usable storage that the PS5 provides.

The result after cloning the original c drive was staggering, when loading a project it hardly reaches 40% even on large projects and much faster load time . The read speed is beyond anything I’ve ever encountered, easy and lightning fast to transfer big games like Call of Duty, The Last of Us etc. The WD Black SN850 is a pricey but necessary bit of kit that has finally opened up my console (both literally and figuratively) and future proofed it for the foreseeable future with the PS4 line gradually coming to a close with the focus on games being made exclusively for PS5.

- all done, just a case of fitting the silver plate, and side of Ps5 clicked into placeUpon startup you'll be asked to format the new drive, done. For the price tag of the PlayStation 5, coming pre-loaded with 825gb, a quarter of which is taken up by the actual system files, why was it not given at least 1TB+?
