It’s well build and made completely of metal, the grip is also part of the mechanism for clamping the pencils in place and is rough enough to grip while staying comfortable to hold securely. Knowing how much a good pencil cost, it pains me to throw away the ones I've whittled down to a couple of inches. This pencil holder easily grips the 2" Staedtler pencil that I had tucked away, though at most it can fit about 4" inside its chamber.

The Staedtler 900 25 Pencil Holder saves me from having to suffer cramps due to my frugalness. As an artist, I go through pencils a lot.

100% worth it, nice grip and feels good, gets the most out of my pencils. I don’t know what I would do without it now. (2H, H, F, HB, B, 2B, 3B, and 4B)It might seem a bit pricey but I'm really satisfied with this product. I love to get my money’s worth out of my pencils, but having issues with my hands I was having real issues holding onto the Stubbs of overused pencils and was considering throwing them away, but this little beauty has saved the day!
