After 2 weeks it’s now a pale bluey lilac colour (photo 2). I really hate those purple/plum tints you get on the high street and at first I thought it had turned out like that. Like with most direct dyes, you need to ensure you cover yourself and wipe drops of dye quickly to avoid staining.

Of course it's hardly grown and I am so impatient to dye it but I really really want long hair (is it seriously TOO MUCH to ask? I left it on for about 15 minutes maybe slightly over as I was worried my hair might go vibrant pink! The colour is amazing, I'm really pleased with it, I wanted a really Deep black like the pictures of really classy forties film stars, but without chemicals and this is it, my hair is soft and shiny after using too.

I dyed my hair blue a few years back using these dyes and it never ever washed out. They were more towards the very end of my hair when I dyed it though, rather than the majority of it like in the photo.
