Finally, note the '18' viewing certificate. Confused ? The multi-stranded, but intertwined, story covers the antics of a pair of hitmen, their mob boss/his wife and a bribed boxer (by the boss) along with various ancillary (but still significant) characters in and around Los Angeles over 2 days sometime in the early '90s. I can't really bring myself to divulge or cover much more about the story (I can't call it a plot) as it would lead to too many words (as Edmund Blackadder would say) and of course spoil things for first-timers; suffice to say that the film overflows with snappy, funny and witty dialogue (there are a copious number of quotable/memorable one-liners and jokes), is supremely enticing, gloriously entertaining and features many novel facets as well as a memorable musical soundtrack comprising original work from a multitude of artists.

), the film has only just been made available properly for us Brits on Blu-ray this year (French/Asian issues date from 2009/10). Everything is 100%, as its a 20th anniversary collector's edition box set. 1 soundtrack.

ROOKIE THE VIKING.

The language is consistently very profane, there is much violence (which manages to be very extreme despite never progressing much further than blood/matter-spatter) and explicit illicit drug-taking. Well it is, but the first trick up the sleeve of Tarantino was to jumble up the scenes for each element into a non-chronological order as well as occasionally presenting the same scene more than once, but each time from the viewpoint of a different character.

They done an amazing job with this transfer. There are also some new extras for this release, PLUS the possibility of getting a Steelbook version (which I of course succumbed to - pictures of it added to the main Amazon page for your perusal and titillation !

Pulp fiction has never looked so good. ive seen it many times before but wanted to buy copy for my collection its great film BD is region A, just so you know.

'Pulp Fiction' has rightly been a long-standing favourite of many (it dates from 1994) and regular features around the top of all-era film polls. Directed and co-written by Quentin Tarantino (along with his friend/colleague Roger Avary, with whom he had previously worked with to write his earlier films but after this film they parted company), at the time it presented an original and 'snappy' way of cinematic story-telling which I'm sure would have influenced many film creations from then on; the film deservedly won a 'Best Screenplay' Oscar for them. The Amazon 'DVD Description' does a good job of detailing the extras and differentiating what is new for this release.

The movie features a cast of actors who had either yet to attain a high profile in Hollywood (Harvey Keitel excepted) or had 'fallen over' a bit (eg John Travolta, who was up until then busy churning out turgid 'Look Who's Talking' films despite earlier brilliance in 'Grease' and 'Saturday Night Fever'). I've seen 'professional' reviews point out small flaws, but to my eyes and ears there are none; everything sparkles and the musical background really shines courtesy of a prominent and powerful DTS-HD Master Audio 5. Available for a long time on video and DVD (oh, and Laserdisc !
