About this deal
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis—with explosive results.
Perhaps it’s her occipital cortex playing tricks on her, but Bee could swear she can see Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas…devouring her with those eyes. When Ali is not at work, she can be found running, eating cake pops, or watching sci-fi movies with her three feline overlords (and her slightly-less-feline husband). But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward. . -- But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school—archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away. Bee Koenigswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there’s only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

Maybe to death and misery which has been metered out again and again. Thoroughly enjoyable, another brilliant book by Ali, I look forward to reading more by her!

)Ok so i was a bit unsure going into this because I was really excited but I also LOVED The Love Hypothesis so much (i’m a reylo shipper what can I say🤣) and I was worried that Levi and Bee wouldn’t hold a candle to Adam and Olive… I WAS SO WRONG! . There are plenty of important side characters that all play their part in making this a truly amazing and entertaining read. This book explores abandonment issues, it has a man who is learning how to effectively communicate after growing up in a household that didn't model it, and of course the many issues in academia, especially to women and anyone who isn't a cis white man.

Anyway, I've read quite a few against this or other books by Ali and I have to say one thing. Just that little something inside you, that makes you think that Maybe, just Maybe, things could have been different. I mean, what more could you want in a feel-good, fast-paced rom-com hit?

The way she writes her stories has me hooked the whole way through! The plot itself was very well done, the frustrations were there with things I'm sure we all picked up on.

It made me laugh. I did find myself getting a little lost with all the terminology but I didn't mind that. Goshthis author is brilliant. Yes, okay, it was very similar to TLH in many ways (grumpy/sunshine, massive guy/tiny girl, a road trip to a conference and some very unbelievable situations) but hey!
