I love all the work they put into details, and how the illustrations come and complete the story! If you haven't this is a great way to read them! I'll start with the downside to the paperback copy and that's the fact that there's only 'selected highlights' of Jim Kay's beautiful illustrations (that's why i've rated it four stars). This review is written as though you've read the Harry potter books before.
Thriller Seeker
There are half page, full page, and full double page illustrations scattered throughout. I have loved Harry Potter since I was very little, and my brother has being interested into Harry Potter since the Hogwarts Legacy game was released, so I thought buying the illustrated version of my favourite childhood book was an amazing decision! No protective measures whatsoever.

Pages without illustrations have satisfying textures of watercolours to add something extra to the page. As a result, the book came with both the upper corners of the cover bent, and the page corners are also slightly bent. you can't have everything in life, I guess. The book is simply STUNNING!

Considering it had a long journey to make (from UK to Romania), I would have thought they would pack it with more attention, to prevent it from transport damages. Not only are the illustrations amazing the story (as you probably know) is not only breathtaking it's also my favourite book.

The characters look exactly like how I imagined they would look when I first read the books. The front cover is a picture of Harry in platform nine and three quarters, which the Hogwarts Express steering by. A must have for any Harry Potter fan.

So when I found out that there was a illustrated version coming out I was ordering it and it is absolutely incredible. And when it arrived my mind blew (honestly, it’s too cheap to be that good). I don’t know if this was down to how it was stored before shipping or if it occurred because of how it was sent in one of those Amazon M4 packages creasing the edge but this is the end result. The truth is I’ve never read Harry Potter before.

Hopefully he will enjoy the book as much as I did. Even though there's less illustrations than the hardback they still look stunning, all printed on glossy paper in superb detail.
