The chapter move back and forth in time which I loved- each chapter is like another piece of the puzzle. The only reason this isn’t a 5* is because of the twist at the end - I felt that the twist wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped and the book seemed to end quite quickly and abruptly.

This was a tension filled book that had me flicking the pages faster than I could say “the Franklins are so weird”. Walter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(no spoilers)📚 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀:Something steeped in shadows. Overall, if you’re a fan of psychological thrillers that will keep you up at night, this is one for you!

P. I’m slightly sad that the ending didn’t quite ding my dong, but I would say that I loved 80% of this book and was somewhat disappointed by 20% and that’s a ratio weighted the correct way.

I loved reading this with the other bloggers and this won’t be the last B. Walter book that I pick up. Mix in the beautiful story of growing up and friendship between Jonathan and Danny and I was hooked.

I became very invested in the characters of Danny and Jonathan and was really rooting for them throughout! My neighbour is not. Now my son is dead. A secret to everyone.
