This handy adapter lets you charge your headset or speaker using the same charger and USB-C cable as your phone. I was working with some security cameras at my house, and for some reason, in a 4 pack of cameras from the same location, one of the cameras had a different USB port than the others. I purchased this product and it arrived in a timely fashion , like a couple days after purchase .

Rather than have some bulkier looking device coming out of my camera to the cable, this adapter is barely noticeable while connected. There are some reports of this catching on fire, but I am not seeing any noticeable temperatures above ambient after prolonged usage.

It was a definite value for the money but it just didn’t serve my intended purpose . I'll most likely grab another pack or two. The USB-C is much easier to plug into devices because you don't have to get it just right.

I’m not sure if it was a quality issue but it happened . I have used these adapters in multiple situations, and they have always worked.

USB C devices might work with adapter like headphones but research to see if your device can work using compatibility mode as this adapter is only "wired" for the standard 4 lead USB interface so things like charging could work but would be slow or data sync as well could work but would use the USB 2. 0 speed this is my theory as I have yet to test this and every device is designed to thier own slight beyond the standards they use. )I love this adapter! These adapters work great for that.

I am trying to standardize on USB-C cables whenever possible, attempting to make the multiple type of USB cable situation easier. So it works which is good news just didn’t do what I hoped for me .
