hope this helps! HOWEVER, I used it specifically to try to remove 1 year’s worth of Henna Color Lab’s wine red henna from my hair. That’s okay. just be ready to use a purple shampoo or toner to eliminate serious brassiness and use Olaplex and a deep conditioning treatment to insert moisture back into the hair shaft.

Sorry for my poor bathroom lighting - I should’ve gotten before/after photos outside in the sun! PRODUCT Feedback: I have naturally blond hair that was dyed dark brown forever (past 9 1/2 years) and then I went burgundy/red for a long while with bouts of dark brown root touch-ups. After a while, after a blow-out, today, it looks a bit darker. The smell is pretty gross I have washed it like 3 times so far and with my strong salon brand shampoo that smells like cookies.

As you can see if first pic, my hair was very red. When I used the color remover, it worked well, but my hair (the part that was bleached before) was still pretty orange and since I was wanting to dye my hair purple, I wanted to get as much red as I could out. I’m giving this product 5 stars because it absolutely does work to remove color from your hair. Now, I can finally look forward to dying my hair a light brown :D THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS!

Holy moly, that is an exercise in patience. It does feel a bit dry but I did a deep conditioner after shampooing with tea tree oil shampoo 3 times. Slightly unpleasant is what I’d call it. I will say the smell is terrible, like eggs in a hot car, so DO NOT USE IN BEDROOM.

I am a natural redhead so it did not go to my natural color. So I’ve been dying my hair with permanent colors and fun colors for years! I followed this to a T product was in my hair for 25 minutes. I am going to put coconut oil in my hair for the rest of the day after the Olaplex treatment formula 2 that I have in my hair is rinsed out.

However, if you're looking for something that REALLY GETS ALL THE DYE OUT, THEN THIS IS IT! I should have read that before I bought it so I would have been prepared. The poor dear has been through enough already.
