(Not a megabit, just a megabyte). Of course, they are quite loud compared to SSDs, but the volume and speed for this price is more than enough for movies and music. )First impressions is that this is a bit noiser than my old drive, and generates a bit more heat. .

Consequence , have to send it back , pay 16 Euros for transport and wait approximately 2 week to get refund. Just for a lack of care. After my 4TB HDD died after almost 10 years of beign used almost 24x7, and seeing 18TB for just under £300, I took the plunge and ordered 2 of these.

One thing to note though is that plugging this drive into my old USB-SATA dock, WIndows 10 didn't recognise the drive as present. More of a concern is reliability. I bought 4 pieces, installed level 0 with a software raid array on Linux, the volume of the array is 72 TB, the speed is 750 megabytes per second!

My transfer rate of data to these drives (directly from another SATA drive on same machine) was about 160MBytes per second. However nothing to be concerned. The last one was send with such a poor method , that it wasn't working at all. (I always would recommend buying twice the storage you need so everything is backed up!

I bought 9 of them , no problem with the 8 fist , work well from the beginning. Product recommended I will however be testing the reliability of this over time and will be updating my experiences in due course.

Now I've set up one in each server and it was a breeze, easily recognised. In the meantime, I ordered a 3rd drive, which does work thankfully. Perhaps I was unlucky, but out of my 2, one was DOA, which has been shipped back to Amazon and awaiting a refund.
