Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the spare part for the second unit. Out of the box it was much more complicated to find proper settings than expected. although.

At that time the sharpness was much better than from W5700 and most of the others, but the TK850 I got here did show larger "dots" on the screen. The media could not be loaded. Two months later, the second unit's DMD chip failed too. Resulution improvement from my old W1110 was hardly visible.

UPDATE: After using for 18 months, the new DMD chip failed as well. After 200-300h of usage, first unit's DMD chip failed and a white dot appeared on the screen. Finally, the black level is disappointing if you look at the level alone, but to be honest bright spots do compensate during normal watching and the black level is not that annoying or visible anymore.

After some tweaking I got also "old" full HD input working where I noticed a lot of color noise going on. HDR proved to be quite tricky to get colours not that much saturated. Why we need "tuned" versions to be better than normal versions should make Benq think about their out of the box settings.

Now there is a dead pixel again. left half of the pictures: Benq W1110, right TK850 Even though the warranty period was ended, they replaced these parts without charging any fee. Well, I came from a Benq W1110 full HD projector and thought to make myself a nice gift to step up towards 4k.
