Launched in 2004 by Giorgio Armani, and created by Antoine Lie, the fragrance is an Amber Spicy Fragrance for men which has been a hugely popular fragrance since it's launch. Armani say that it is elegant and understated and that the bottle is inspired by the "satin lapels of an Armani tuxedo". Giorgio Armani's first masculine oriental-style fragrance is Black Code. The fragrance opens with notes of Bergamot and Lemon before moving into a wonderful heart of Guaiac Wood, Olive Blossom and Star Anise, and then falling onto the base notes of Leather, Tobacco and Tonka Bean.
