What this thing does is keeps track of your speed and laps via 4 little "eyes" in the track. The Multi-Loop Box is a set of smaller tracks that you can build loops and a track with. Once installed, turn on your portal and pair it with your device, make sure you press the bluetooth icon (and that your devices bluetooth is on) in the upper right corner on the apps home screen. This device is definitely something that will grow with him and his Hot Wheels Collection over the coming years.

I thought what the heck I'll give it a go. Not sure what some of these reviews are going on about not being able to connect if your device isn't brand new. This Hot Wheels portal device allows you to do the same thing if your device does not have an NFC reader just via buetooth. There is a booklet that gives you various track possibilities.
