i have an iPhone and a MacBook and it works perfectly! is one of life’s annoying mysteries! The screen is decent enough for the job it does – but in quality terms not remotely comparable to the touch screen on a smartphone.

The software isn’t always intuitive/as easy as it could be to navigate. This is great.

Setting up the Brother DCP-L3550CDW is a breeze. Only problem was having to replace Waste Toner Cartridge so quickly. One slight drawback is a minor WiFi speed issue when sending documents, even on a robust network.

Plug and Play. Not sure why that is.

Draft/resource-saving options could be made more prominent. You can also print to this from a smartphone/tablet, if you install the Brother app. Scanning to email is a bit of a faff and you also need to give the printer time to sort itself out on the network for some reason.

I like this printer a great deal. The app (for iPhone anyway) is rather basic and seems old as it’s not user friendly or particularly easy to others I’ve used. I like the sleep and auto shut off which is a necessity for my poor memory. • My only minor gripe is that documents can be a little slow to send over WiFi despite me having a great Asus router and connection speed.

Set up (Wi-Fi etc) NOT too torturous. Keeping connected to my SKY router, which it found easily (*****) very well so far. Features such as double-sided or reduced quality printing aren’t available from the top-level menu.
