When fitting the lights, it's a little tricky navigating corners, I had to get creative. It sticks really good or at least on the TV I have anyway. Overall, they represent great value and I probably won't find a better 5m strip for the price.

I'm really happy with these lights, I bought them to go around the bottom of my bed and they applied really well. Would recommend an external bluetooth module for the Pi as its built-in one wasn't strong enough to reach the lights. The following is a little more "power user" focused, and requires additional hardware and software: I was able to get these working with my iOS HomeKit setup via the HomeBridge system running on a Pi 4b. I used to tie an onion around my belt, which was the fashion at the time.

I can't change colours, but I do get on / off and a somewhat patchy brightness control. The overall light brightness is a little weak though, and colour mixing for white / warm whites is hit and miss.

The 3M tape is definitely the good stuff, they'll not be coming off anytime soon (sticking to metal and wood)The iOS app is pretty well engineered, no issues there and setup was super easy. The media could not be loaded.

But now my living room looks like some space boudoir. So far I'm happy with it. I've had one of these before except this time there's an app that easy connect with via Bluetooth with a whole range of settings features to play with including turning it on or off. I might put some diffusers on them later on.
