I want a 4. If that doesn't work, I recommend spraying Kure 556 or the like on the connection part. Each headset has an MMCX jack, which makes it easy to change the cable (or a faulty headset) in case a problem arises. As long as it doesn't breakdown as the spate of complaints pouring in, I'm happy with these.

However it still wasn't that precise fit in my right ear so I swapped the foam tips to my trusty Sony Mdr-ex310LP's Large foam tip and voilá! The 7mm driver is the same in the IE400 and IE300 but the chamber is a bit different so it was a bargain for £114 compared to the IE400's £350 price. Comparing them to Skullcandy Method in-ear (wired and wireless) makes you realise just how much definition is missing from a ‘standard’ pair of in-ears.

As for the sound quality, it makes an energetic sound right out of the box, and I'm looking forward to using it as it ages from now on. Even though it's an ear-hanging type, it won't hurt your ears even if you sleep with it on. Works perfectly fine with MacBook In addition, they have been built to last.

It blocks out outside sounds quite a bit, so it seems better to be careful. The wire is good quality but not tangle free.

There is no hologram on the attached cable. Bass is present with wonderful mids and highs! They are relatively sensitive: they only require 165 mV rms to reach the 94 dB SPL reference.
