I mix mine into tea or coffee in the morning and notice a mild, slight earthy taste, but the texture is smooth and not gritty or powdery. Also, my stomach has been fine, no issues with stomach upset or anything. This Lion’s Mane Mushroom Extract from Erbology seems to be decent. Lion's Mane mushroom is an incredible supplement - it's been studied extensively and proven to help protect and regenerate neurons to help the nervous system recover from brain damage.

It is a powder made from whole dried mushrooms (both mycelium and fruiting bodies), not an extract. If you find the taste too strong, it's barely noticeable at all when mixed into sauces, soups, stews or other savory foods. Erbology's Lion's Mane powder seems to be of good quality.

S. I have issues with memory and focus, and after adding Lion's Mane to my supplement routine I feel sharper and more present. Lion's Mane is not a supplement you will feel instantly like a cup of coffee, but after 2-3 weeks it's a noticeable enhancement.
The jar I received has an expiration date more than two years from now, and the dark colored glass jar ensures the product will be kept safe from light and moisture that would damage it. It's a wonderful choice to help prevent dementia, mitigate symptoms of nervous system disorders, or support the brain and nerves in healthy people (which is how I'm using it). It's produced in Europe from organic mushrooms, and contains no added starch (this is a common problem with other mushroom supplements, which sometimes contain high levels of starch from the grain the mycelium is grown on).
