THE FRIENDLY BOOK NOOK,admin Chrissie
Book Overview-------------‐‐‐‐Eighteen passengers. With the vibe of Agatha Christie, a brilliant detective at its core, a sleeper train filled with people desperate to get to its destination for Christmas and of course a murder or two. The book cleverly goes from very serious to lighthearted throughout and balances the typical Christmas murder mystery plot with the more serious themes. I really enjoyed this locked room mystery thriller.

The twists near the end kept on coming and I loved the ending! In the early hours of Christmas Eve, the sleeper train to the Highlands is derailed, along with the festive plans of its travellers.

But I persevered. Those who sleep on the sleeper train may never wake again.

With the train stuck in snow in the middle of nowhere, a killer stalks its carriages, picking off passengers one by one. Eighteen passengers on a train and one killer. The short chapters made this a fast paced read and easy to pick up while the writing style was sharp and entertaining. I see the author has released a previous book and has a new one called The Christmas Jigsaw Murders so it looks like reading these will become a new festive tradition for me.
Can former Met detective Roz Parker find the killer before they kill again? Seven stops.
