I can run this set up at camp for hours and hours for nearly nothing. The larger plastic cap would not allow for enough clearance to close it.
The bees wax candles are great, but are $$. I used a 1oz amber bottle with a wick, lamp oil, and reversed wick stem. Nice little compact lamp.
UCO discontinued the oil lamp insert. I used an old 1oz beard oil bottle filled with lamp oil, reversed metal wick stem from a tea light candle and a cotton string for the wick.
