“Intriguing "who dunnit" with a costal backdrop”*no spoilers review* was drawn into the story slowly, the intrigue of the lingering question of who dunnit kept me locked in until the end, the coastal backdrop made for a great setting and really helped me feel like I could dip in and out without needing to remind myself of the who and where etc, a few too many characters by the end to keep full track of but that is maybe just my scatty brain, the style of writing was detailed enough to paint the scene without any unnecessary details filling pages, I will definitely be looking at the authors other books (such as sanatorium) for my next read! Things become more exciting. Devon is my favourite place and I loved recognising place names and descriptions throughout the book.

The perfect dose of Sarah Pearse to keep you going after the Sanatorium! It took me several attempts to start to read this book, and I struggled for the first 40-60 pages, after that it was easier to read, and I was pleasantly surprised. This book works as a stand alone even though part two of a series.

This book, which I read in this series. All in all I would recommend, it is light easy reading and entertaining. I enjoyed the detective, the family drama and the setting.

Reaper’s Rock has a grim history with even more secrets left to reveal and the same can definitely be said for some of the guests. I’ve really enjoyed this book. Full of twists and turns from start to finish that I really enjoyed reading.
