I seen this cable and was slightly sceptical as it seemed the HP business laptops were not listed and it was reasonably inexpensive. No issues whatsoever, worked first time. It worked!

While it only said 4K 60Hz I just had to take the chance. Many laptops that have USB-C should support DP ALT.

However, after a while, I realised that AppleTV shows that are played through the AppleTV app could not be displayed on the external monitor (The audio runs but the Window either remains black or stopped after 38 seconds). It doesn't get hot (at least not in my experience) and the nylon braiding makes it really durable and it feels super strong. As I didnt want to spend £200+ of my own money on a HP docking station, I searched the web to find a solution. Here you can select the security type.

So I've been working on 1 monitor with the HDMI cable, but needed the extra displays working. I'm hoping that by giving a detailed description, it may help someones else out who is unsure.

Uni HDMI cable played fine the content. I honestly did not see any difference in quality compared to the Uni HDMI cable that I also have. Work recently purchased me a new MacBook Pro with the USB C connectors; because I'm on-call I take it home in the evenings and needed to be able to plug it up to my Dell DisplayPort monitors there. And even if it does, I won't hesitate to buy a new one.
