Some strange part of human behavior makes us easy targets for sweet-sounding ideology. Yeonmi is a gripping writer and her thoughts flow so naturally on the pages.

God will surely bless Yeonmi for having the courage to write this revealing book. I could not believe the traumas Yeonmi had to endure living in North Korea and trying to escape! Yeonmi and her family are incredible survivalists, having lived a life most of us could never fathom.
