I've never had one or even used one before, but once I had it, I appreciated how much time it saved in food prep. This tool is essential for removing the core from the apple with little effort and minimal waste. I guess I'll look around for a sturdier corer or do without, as I did for several decades before I bought this.

I could go on and on but the last thing I’m going to say is log onto Amazon right now and place an for 1 for you and 1 for your children and friends they will love you for it. The handle is a great fit to my hand that is starting to get arthritis. ) Even when I take the time to bend the halves back into alignment so that the cutting end is circular, more times than not, the halves collapse into a football shape again as soon as I start coring an apple.
