The main downside to this keyboard for me is the half-sized up and down arrow keys. In addition to the Touch ID sensor, the keyboard has a flat design that is convenient and efficient to use. The keyboard is also rechargeable and can be used for extended periods of time without needing to be charged. The addition of Touch ID is definitely a big plus.

The keys have a pleasant resistance and a clear pressure point, which makes writing a pleasure. The key assignment is therefore known and you can start working immediately. First of all, I bought an external monitor for my M1 MacBook Air (2020).

The easy connection with my MacBook, iPad, and other Apple devices makes the investment worthwhile. However, the seamless interaction of the Magic Keyboard with other Apple devices is the decisive factor for me. That makes it really more difficult* USB-C instead of Lightning, please * Touch ID only works with M-processors Macs * Space grey option (also more expensive from me) should already be offered. .

That being said, it charges up really quickly and can be used while plugged in and charging. Fingerprint recognition works reliably and quickly, which ensures the security of my data. While the quality and design are undoubtedly top-notch, the price could be a deterrent for some potential buyers.

But what I didn't know beforehand: * If you like to use the emoji button (FN), you shouldn't close the MacBook when in use! Except for one time, touch id didn't work.
