I watched lots of videos and read reviews and landed on this as a cost-effective and quality saw. So far, very satisfied with the purchase and I'll update this review as I get more use out of it.

I own a cabinet shop so I use table saws most of the time but I use this saw for butcher block, table tops, water fall edges and things of the sort. The track is grippy, even on a surface with a little sawdust but we will see how that holds up over time.

I've been putting off buying a track saw for forever due to cost. 45" wide by ~0.

The channels on the track run ~0. I've made due in the past with some makeshift guides for my circular saw or with a Kreg jig but they were never super accurate. Also, if you have a welder, make your own track clamps. If I already had Makita batteries, I likely would have gone for the battery version but after using it for a while the cord doesn't bother me at all.

Finally made the jump when I had to make some straight cuts for a commission job. I was always left with some imperfections I'd need to fix or hide. I had to cut through 1.

I just set up the saw on the tracks and tightened the adjustment screws to get a good fit to the track without any wobble. The saw and track were straight out of the box and I made some 90 degree cuts that were spot on without any adjustment. 24 tall.

The entire setup gave me super clean cuts. Thanks Makita for including a quality blade, not some trash like a lot of brands. I even cut a 48” water fall edge 1 1/4” thick White oak lumber at a 45 degree angle and it cut amazing. It's actually on par with my table saw with a glue line rip Freud blade.
