I always carry keys on me so just adding one to my ring was no big deal The disk was super easy to install with the included Allen wrench. The lock must seat fully onto the nub to latch, but the design of the G75VX around the Kensington slot prevents the lock portion from fully engaging. To unlock, reverse process.

I am going to check with machine and metal working shops in my area. I will include a photo shortly to illustrate. The recommendation was to return to reseller since I am still within 14 days from the purchase.

The only drawback is that when you unlock and take your device on the go, the disk sticks out 1/4", so depending on your laptop case it might be troublesome to fit back in if you already have a tight squeeze. Please note, this will not affect you unless the surface of your machine around the lock port has contouring that is a higher elevation than that of the port itself. Laptop: ASUS G53SX I bought this with a new G75VX, for those times when you need to run off for a minute, but do not want to leave your laptop just sitting in the open.

For now, I cannot recommend this to Asus G75 owners, as the lock is not capable of engaging with the included nub and the contours around the lock port. I estimate that the height only need be increased by a few millimeters. Unfortunately, this has so far not worked with the G75VX. I feel more secure for my PC then befor .
The response was that they only have the one size of nub. I hope to find one that will be able and willing to make the lengthened version that I sought from Kensington. I can't fathom why so many people are having trouble getting the thing to work.
