This year, the contents are shown on the product page images and, to an extent, on the box itself. I am putting the toys back in the box carefully, even using tape if they don't stay put and will glue/tape the box together again for my grandson to open in December. !

I simply don't understand why Mattel does not have Santa driving one of the cars that is contained in the set. I wish Mattel had shown the real things on the box as it might be disappointing to a child to see one thing and get another. I think Mattel is selling their customers short.

I expected the eight vehicles which I think is actually too few for a Hot Wheels calendar, as, for the price, I would have expected at least 12. I was very disappointed with the contents of both as they were, with the exception of the eight cars included, pretty much the same. His favorite toys were the accessories that attached to the cars to make them snow vehicles— we’ve never seen those in the store! Unfortunately as mentioned above, once again what isn't contained in the box is anything close to the graphic of the cool jet sleigh that Santa is driving.

The duplicated toys from the last two years are two reindeer and a harness (this makes up three days of windows), a small snow plow attachment, a sled that you can put a car on, a snowman (with blue hat, etc) instead of green or black as in prior years, a green Christmas tree with arms and legs (though not as shiny as the one from 2016) a small tractor tread style attachment and a small ski style attachment. My son is so excited to open every day. )The big news is that instead of the six stickers and the jet pack, there are some really cool toys. This set is much better than the last year's advent calendar, which had some days with just stickers.

My husband has been a Hot Wheels fan since he was a child and he would love to purchase a new and different advent calendar each year for the grandkids to enjoy. This year is much better, but I am still dinging them a full star for duplicating nine of the toys and I would (if I could) ding them a half star for not enough vehicles and for not including a Santa vehicle once again.
