I have changed the batteries once and I have had them maybe 6 weeks. It looks like there is rust forming on some of the lights perhaps where water has got in. First of all, packaging is very nice and festive. We did not try the timer because we didn't have the need

I have strung them up on my garden fence and they come on with the timer each night. I gave 4 stars because of the colour of the wire. Hung them on the gutter easily with a picture hook hack, they don’t weigh much at all. My only criticism is that I noticed some brown staining on the lights after they we’re outside.
