Another wonderful rhyming book with awesome characters your child is bound to love this book. We LOVE JD and own like 10+ books. As the story unfolds, we are introduced to the Smeds, who are red, and the Smoos, who are blue.

👽🚀 "The Smeds and the Smoos" invites us on a whimsical journey through space with Julia Donaldson's trademark rhymes and Axel Scheffler's vibrant illustrations. Initially, my 4-year-old daughter showed little interest in the book. It’s such a no pressure way to teach kids how important it is not to judge other peoples looks or practices.

Anyway my son loved it, such a lovely colourful book which demonstrates togetherness, explaining in simple terms to children that we may have different skin colours, hair colours, interests and so on. Super cute storyline too and amazing illustration as always. However, after watching the short film adaptation, her enthusiasm soared.

I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before then. Despite their differences, young Smoo and young Smed form an unlikely friendship that transcends their societal expectations.
