I absolutely devoured this story (much like the mermaids in this tale). It leaves room for more, which I both like and dislike. Overall, the characters were ok and a few I rooted for but there wasn’t anyone that I was truly attached too. As everything is going on, and the characters seem to be backed into a corner and an impending doom is mounting: boom it's all solved in a single sentence, the next paragraph describes how everything works out then one paragraph later it's the end.

After reading this, I definitely won’t be doing so any time soon. But I will still recommend it to fellow mermaid lovers. I personally loved it.

I was gifted this in a book group on Facebook and wow, what a treat it was to receive this. The visuals were amazing, the tension was beautifully built, and I was captivated until the very end.
I am not a professional writer or author, so I don't know the mechanisms of how it works, but it truly felt that the ending was either severely rushed or the author just didn't have enough pages and just ended it there. As I neared the end, I wasn’t quite sure how this would all finish… ah, that’s how. The only complaint I have about the book, is the ending. It feels like the author had a word limit or page limit and it was about to reach it so had to end the book as quickly as possible while still wrapping everything up.
