I felt their fear and conflicting emotions and despite the fact they were speaking from such different times, their stories sadly echoed each other. Please check trigger warnings.

I wish I could follow every Weyward woman throughout their fascinating lives. I wanted to sit on it for a few days before I decided 100% on what to give it.

Judge this book by its cover. Kate is the woman in the modern day story and through her we hear stories from Altha and Kate. Let the women speak. For me the story, and especially the character’s lives, brought me an emotional rollercoaster of lows and highs of thoughts and feelings as I was reading their life stories and discovered the connections as the story evolved.

A great book about generations of a family thoughtfully enjoyed great read. In 1942, Violet struggles with the strict regime her father has smothered her with as she searches to find out the truth about her deceased mother. Whenever the women needed help, it was always nature that came to their aid. 5 stars)This was a surprise and not the story I was anticipating, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
