I would have given this 5 stars, but had to knock one star off for the difficulty of fitting the batteries. but after 6 weeks of having our dry stores perched on numerous shelves & containers about the place, I'm beginning to feel the notion of hygienic dry food storage might once again be on the rapidly approaching horizon. The battery compartment is so tight it's almost as if it was designed for batteries one size smaller. Not only that, but the mouse must have spent all night chewing the labels off the trap and scattering them around it (see photo).

It's a bit disconcerting as there's no way to know if the unit is charged or defective, but from looking at other reviews, this seemed to indicate that it was charged and ready to go. Traps were OK, but needed resetting if they went off without a catch.

I've never actually caught a rat, but I've had plenty of mice. Cannot describe how relived and pleased I am!

Set it in the garage up against a box so the rats can't get to the peanut butter without entering! 24 hours later & already 2 mice down. Why did we wait?
