(I also have all of Nigella’s books, obviously). I am unabashedly a huge fan and I will be buying this book (and her first - Midnight Chicken) for lots of people this Christmas.
Some of them are memoirs, some are purely instructional (like the Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking), and many are beautiful recipe books with stories and pictures, for reading with a coffee and fantasising about which things I’m going to try next. I know cooking IS a doing word, but as in, it’s more than just cooking as a necessity.
I thought I’d miss photos in it, but I don’t - the pictures are way better. I love books about food, and have a lot of them.
