I think it must be the high contrast of colors, crinkle of pages, and ability for her to grab on to the tails. Maybe I'm the only one to notice but come on man. .

Not sure about the jungle raccoons. They labeled the Lemur as a Raccoon. My baby like it and touch it.
Whenever she gets fussy, we bring out this book and she is immediately entertained! There are literally 10 words in the whole book lol.
HOWEVER, whoever was in charge of labeling the "jungle animals" should be fired. My 6 month old son has been playing with it for a few months now and enjoys it.
