I was removing old rotten masonite siding from a chimney and replacing with LP SmartSide 3/8" x 8" lap siding. I bought this for my husband so he could install hardi board siding on my storage building. Highly recommend The question I had was "how much is a correct reveal" or overlap in the planks, however you look at it.

We laid Maibec Resistech wood to perfection thanks to these Geckos. Like the instructions say, don't over-tighten and make sure you're getting the model for the material you are installing. These Gecko mounting blocks are adjustable each 1/4" so you can get the exact overlap recommended by the siding mfg.

These are suitable for plates with a thickness of approx. LP has theirs for the 3/8" siding I used, of a minimum 1" overlap. These mounting aids have made the work of attaching the fiber cement panels to the facade much easier.
