it had to be placed on the carpet. The media could not be loaded. Due to the door panel not having many straight sides, I had to stick the light a bit further along the door than nearer to the edge. Only thing I would say is with the logo I wanted the blue writing to be a bit clearer but it depends on what the light is shining on to weather it’s clearer or not.

The reflective silver pad is a right pain to place due to lack of width between a closed car door and the car seat. so that may not stick for long. Overall its a good light and it functions perfectly.

My car has black interior so I had to use the pad. Still works though and chavs up a Dacia nicely.

All in all very happy Easy to install, bright. Not sure how long it will stay stuck to the door but there are always more adhesive pads here on amazon.
