Max psi is 85 but online suggestions seem to indicate 75 as the sweet spot. Are they lightweight?

Best wishes and happy riding. was fine. Yes, there are lighter tires on the market. Bottom line…if you’re looking for a tough set of tires that won’t break the bank, ya just can’t beat Continental.

Found these tyres for some 25€ a piece, this definitely worthes the delay! In my case (28x622, otherwise 28x700 C), this tyre fitted perfectly and there was no trouble with the size. Weather is/was sunny and hot here in the Tampa Bay area and the rubber was grippy and stable at 75psi. I have put 500 miles on these tires now and have yet to have a single flat, air leak is minimal, and no noticeable wear thus far.

They are hard, rigid, roll well and tough to take off but with over 900 miles on them and they having a "slick" surface i exchanged them off for the summer tropical rainy season for peace of mind on my road work. 5 to 2 mph faster than before them and that was with a still 14-15 kt headwind for part of my ride. Makes it easy to ride on gravel at speed and I have never experienced a punctures.

There’s at least one spot in the wire bead that looks “iffy”. I'm running 700x47c on 19mm wide rims at 55psi and they fit great.

They mounted fairly easy with a good set of tire levers from Nashbar. On the plus side…I love reflective sidewall tires.

I was worried they would look off on a mountain bike, but they work surprisingly well. Pic included from a dark corner of my basement using flash from my cell phone. Once they're on though, they've been great.
