I don't think I can give up the sound quality for a few square cm of desk space. I already own the E4. This means that for music production the are pretty good but some things and voices in practically sound a bit off.

The sound is quite flat which is good as you can accurately EQ your sound. I occasionally spend months away from home hopping between hotels and Airbnb rooms and needed a respectable pair of lightweight computer speakers for tinkering with projects on the road cos my old Genelecs are like like blocks of lead. When gaming I use them via bluetooth and the family have paired their phones so they can play their tunes.

The build quality of both speakers is phenomenal for the price. I have had a decent 2. You can set the volume at a lower level on the speakers and crank up the volume at the source (PC, Phone, Tablet etc). It's been some years since using any monitors as I use DT770 250's for all my audio work and wow, I'm so pleased I added these to my studio.

5s and returning the E3. A few years down the line the main one just died. It's handy having the volume on the front and also handy having headphones out on the front as it means I can monitor there when recording if someone else is using the headphone out from the ur242 to records vocals. They also angle sound very "straight".

First the sound. 5BT unit did exhibit AC humming at high volume (~>70%). Build quality and sizeVery petit in size, they don't take up much room.

1 PC speaker system from Logitech for years and I liked it, but I never really thought I could hear much of the detail. I just wanted something that wasn't too naff or tinny but these sound like little studio monitors! The sound on the E3.
