‘The drought had been threatening us since last summer, but it had still seemed to take us by surprise - a once-in-a-thousand-years sort of thing, they kept saying. This was a really good follow-up to The Pharmacist from Atalla- a debut which i also really enjoyed.
I was immediately drawn in to the near future dystopia, a vivid creation; tense, engaging characters and a scarily real context. Overall brilliant book and one I would love to see as a TV or film adaption- can't fault it. 💦Oh my!
