I drank mine this afternoon with a small amount of still tonic water and found it to be divine. I think it is a little lighter, a tad fresher and possibly a smidgeon sweeter than my usual gin, with all the lovely gin botanicals coming through nicely. The bottle is of light green hued clear glass and the stopper has a 'zip' type, clear plastic, seal extending down the full neck of the bottle. For its strength (41%) it has a very subtle kick at the end but is not over powering.

The stopper is made of that plastic type cork and is nice and tight fitting. A slice of lemon, a couple of grapes, a generous measure of gin, ice and splash of tonic and enjoy. I think the best part of having a gin and orange is the distinct aroma you get from the botanicals in the gin. I do not get the mint or moscato grapes that are listed as flavouring ingredients (mentioned as 'Crafted with special distillates') but there is a distinct botanical note that I expect they are all gathered within.

I was really pleased to be able to try this 'Villa Ascenti Gin, 70 cl'. On adding my orange juice it smells like a really inviting drink and on tasting it, confirms it. You can really taste the mint and junipers; this is a really pleasant and refreshing gin that I will continue to drink until it’s gone.
