This is a review of the audiobook. After years of diving in the sea, she earns enough money to escape the island on the ship of West, a trader with whom she has been trading the items she found at the bottom of the sea.

I haven’t read a book based on sea/traders/freediver. All of a sudden at the end bam some love intentions spring up! Now, she needs to grab her inheritance and figure out what to do next, but she doesn't know that her enemy is closer that she could have ever expected. I don’t think it is built up enough and I just didn’t feel it in the earlier parts of the book which I felt could have pushed it up in the a 5 star for me.

I also loved the touch of romance in the book—I’m a sucker for romances. I'm curious to see what happens next to Fable, and if she can get her HEA with West. The moment this book started it was like a movie in my head. So when I wasn’t sure how I felt about “Fable” it stayed on my bookshelf and never-ending TBR list.

Good character development and the author did so well at keeping me engaged ! After being abandoned to an island by her father, Fable has to grow up and quickly if she wants to survive. Until I saw its audiobook on Netgalley.
